Shoreham Rowing Club celebrated the launch of our brand new coastal four a couple of weeks ago, the result of an extremely generous, and much-appreciated donation from local Shoreham business Monteum, which runs the fishmongers La Poisonnerie on Brighton Road.
Jim Partridge, Monteum/La Poisonnerie owner and one of Shoreham’s honorary vice-presidents was our VIP guest for the day and on hand to name the new boat, Fruits de Mer, with help from his grandchildren.
We’re excited about the opportunities our new four brings to our racing crews, and in being another much-needed quad for our enthusiastic and growing junior squads.
Again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Jim for donating the new boat and we can’t wait to get her racing soon….let’s hope no-one rowing her catches a crab!
