Shoreham Rowing Club is a friendly and ambitious coastal rowing club based on the Sussex coast. We’ve been part of the local community for generations, bringing together people of all ages to enjoy the sport of rowing. Whether for fun, fitness or fierce competition, everyone is welcome.
We train and race on the sea and the river, offering opportunities for complete beginners as well as experienced rowers competing at championship level. From juniors to masters, everyone plays a part in making the club what it is. Inclusive, supportive and passionate about the water.
Whether you’re interested in taking up a new sport, getting back into rowing or racing with a competitive crew, there’s a place for you at Shoreham Rowing Club.
Shoreham Rowing Club has a long and proud tradition dating back to the mid-1800s. What began as a group of individuals racing rowing boats along the Sussex coast has grown into one of the most established and successful coastal rowing clubs in the region.
Over the decades, the club has seen countless crews represent Shoreham at regattas across the south coast and beyond. From wooden clinker boats to today’s modern coastal shells, we’ve moved with the times while keeping our strong community spirit at the heart of everything we do.
We’re proud of our heritage and the generations of members who have shaped the club into what it is today. That same passion for rowing continues to bring people together on the water and keeps the Shoreham tradition alive.
Our committee is made up of dedicated volunteers who help keep the club running smoothly both on and off the water.
