Shoreham Rowing Club is a friendly and open club, keen to introduce rowing to people who would like to give this enjoyable sport a try! If you want to learn to row with us and live in Brighton, Hove, Shoreham, Steyning, Lancing, Lewes, Burgess Hill or the surrounding areas then please do get in touch!
Rowing Open Days, aimed at offering a rowing experience including basic technique tuition and an on the water rowing experience are held (currently) twice a year. These all day events allow you to try rowing and see if you enjoy it. Open days offer a great opportunity to meet club members and give rowing a try in a relaxed atmosphere. Open Days are posted in the calendar and advertised on the news feed in the months before, usually run in March and August each year. Our next open day will likely be held in Spring 2017. Keep an eye out for further information nearer the time or get in touch.
6 week Learn to Row Courses, aimed at adults completely new to on-the-water rowing are held periodically throughout the year. These courses aim to give participants the chance to learn the basics of the sport alongside other beginners. Whether you want to try rowing just for fun or you fancy taking up rowing to compete, then we have something to offer with many experienced and qualified coaches and senior rowers on hand to offer advice.
If you are under the age of 18 and are interested in taking up rowing, please look at the Junior Rowing section of this site.
