Got Olympic Fever? Come and join our rowing taster day!

Have you been inspired by Rio 2016? Fancy trying something new? To those who have never rowed or have not rowed in the last 10 years, why not join our 2016 open day…

This is your chance to try out rowing, and is the perfect taster experience for all budding rowers. There are 3 ways to get involved:

2016 Events:

1. Row to Race! – Enter a crew of four adults (over 18s only) who have never rowed before. We will provide qualified coaches to teach you as much as we can in two 1 hour sessions on the water as well as time on the indoor rowing machines over the course of the day. We’ll then get you racing for the prestigious title of Shoreham Rowing Club Open Day Champions 2016. £15.00 per person to enter. What’s more, the winners gain entry into the Open Day Cup race where you’ll pit yourselves against 2 experienced crews from Shoreham Rowing Club!!

2. Try a Row! – Simply come along and sign up on the day and we’ll (numbers dependent) drop you into a boat with some experienced rowers and a coach and you’ll get some time to see if you might like rowing. Free! (small donation to the club encouraged!)

3. Race an Erg! – Come along and sign up to our rowing machine competition. A 250m sprint race on an indoor rowing machine (ergometer) in which you’ll have the chance to see how you compare to the best we have to offer in 5 categories: Open Male, Open Female, Junior Males and Junior Females (under 18) and Mixed Under-14s.
